Rhythmplaza.com: Where are you originally from?
NOMAAD: I’m originally from Harlem, New York, but when I was young we moved constantly.  I lived in NYC, Florida, NC, and now, Virginia.

Rhythmplaza.com: When and why did you start using the name NOMAAD?
NOMAAD: Well my lifestyle dictates the name. I am a nomad. But so are others. I’m just that Nigga Of Many Areas And Destinations – THERE YOU HAVE IT!

Rhythmplaza.com: Who was inspirational to you when you were coming up?
NOMAAD: My inspirations were  Tupac, Biggie,  and my brother.

Rhythmplaza.com: When did you first get into the music game?
NOMAAD: I started when I was 14 years old. I used to free style with my brother.

Rhythmplaza.com: When did you get your first opportunity to showcase your talent?
NOMAAD: When I was in a group called GMS. We used to perform at the State of the U and other clubs in DC/MD/VA.

Rhythmplaza.com: What does rap music mean to you? Where is it headed?
NOMAAD: Rap music influences and speaks to the youth about what goes on in the streets, politics, life, etc.  I think rap is about to come full circle.  But wherever it’s headed I’m willing to take it there.

Rhythmplaza.com: What’s up with the new album?
NOMAAD: My new album is called “19”.  The number 19 symbolizes a lot of things in my life, to include my birthday, which is November 19th.  But the album is gonna be hot.  It has thirteen tracks and it’s dropping in early 2003. You can check out some of the tracks at my website at WWW.NOMAAD.NET.

Rhythmplaza.com: What do you like to do when you are not rapping?
NOMAAD: I just like to chill and spend time with my family, go out to movies, dinner, whatever.

Rhythmplaza.com: What projects are you currently working on?
NOMAAD: I’m working on a mix tape with my UCM (Underground Click Money) click and coming up with ideas for my up coming video.  I also plan to be on the television show 8101 w/Michel Wright from WPGC and a few DCTV public access shows.

Rhythmplaza.com: What does music mean to you?
NOMAAD: Music is just another form of art, like acting or dancing.  Music allows myself and others to express what we feel inside. It’s therapeutic for real!

Rhythmplaza.com: How long have you seriously been involved in the music industry?
NOMAAD: I have seriously been involved in music since ‘98 when I moved to Virginia. That’s when it all happened.  Everything just came together then.

Rhythmplaza.com: What advice would you give to some of the up and coming rap artists in the DC area?
NOMAAD: Stay focused on what you want in life and the hard work will pay off.

Rhythmplaza.com: Tell us about the new project that you have out?
NOMAAD: The new project I have out right now is a single called Don’t Give Up (Baby Don’t Cry). It is produced by my dog Sho-Down from Rock It Productions and features Angie Pryor.

Rhythmplaza.com: Who would you like to leave a shout out too?
NOMAAD: Big shout out to my fam at Holdin’ It Down Records, the UCM click and all of the producer’s on my tracks, Mike Buff, Mauly, A.B., and Sho-own.  Shout out to Shawn Cannon, Maliki, Text Beatz, and Angie Pryor, and to everyone that supported me now and on my journey.  One!
