Rhythmplaza.com: Where are you originally from?  
Flambey: Originally from NYC but I lived in DC/MD area for 15 years.

Rhythmplaza.com: When and why did you start using the name Flambey?
Flambey: My brother gave me the name FlamBey because I'm a flashy flambouyant n**ga plus I'm hot on the mic. I've had the name for a minute.

Rhythmplaza.com: When did you first get into the music game?   
Flambey: I got into the music game in the early 90's.

Rhythmplaza.com: When did you get your first opportunity to showcase your talent?
Flambey:   I first got to showcase my talent in the 1993 New Music Seminar in NYC. I was chosen by DJ Clark Kent & the Source magazine as one of the worlds greatest rappers.

Rhythmplaza.com: What does rap music mean to you? Where is it headed?
Flambey: Rap means to me an opportunity for brothas & sistas from the hood to create business & financial situations to enhance their way of life. It also gives us a creative outlet.

Rhythmplaza.com: What’s up with the album? Tell us the name of the album and when did you come up with the concept?
Flambey: The name of the album is "DESTINY". I came up with the concept in the 12th hour so to speak. After alot of ups & downs in the business, I was questioning my destiny and i decided to write a song about it and then name the album Destiny.

Rhythmplaza.com: What producers do you have on the album, and has worked with in the past?
Flambey:  I am the sole producer of the album. I worked with my brother in the past on tracks not on the CD.

Rhythmplaza.com: What is up with the new hot song, Destiny?
Flambey:  Cats is loving he song DESTINY I think cause it's real to alot of people. Also, the singing is tight as well as the beat. Big up to DJ FLEXX from WPGC for callin us & sayin the song was fire!

Rhythmplaza.com: Do you produce your own tracks?
Flambey:  I write & produce everything.

Rhythmplaza.com: What artist have you worked with in the hip hop genre?
Flambey: I haven't worked with other rappers yet though I'm open to.

Rhythmplaza.com: What projects are you currently working on?
Flambey:  I'm currently working on producing tracks for my 2nd cd and other tracks for other up & coming artist.

Rhythmplaza.com: Tell us about the new project that you have out?
Flambey: If you love hot beats to party to and love real life man shit my joint is for you. Women and men feel my style.

Rhythmplaza.com: How do you view the internet as a marketing tool?
Flambey:: I love the internet for marketing. I sell my records off my site and people get to know about me and my company so it's tight.

Rhythmplaza.com: Do you get a lot of visitors and feedback on your website?
Flambey:: I get alot of positive e-mails from fans saying keep bangin out the hits.

Rhythmplaza.com: What does music mean to you?
Flambey: Music means life,love, hope, & prosperity to me

Rhythmplaza.com: How long have you seriously been involved in the music industry?
Flambey:: I've been grindin for about 12 years.

Rhythmplaza.com: What advice would you give to some of the up and coming rap artists in the DC area?
Flambey: I would tell artists in the DC area to really understand the game as far as what the fans and radio all over are feeling. I think the fact that go go music was the primary music in DC, it put rappers trying to come out at a disadvantage. Hopefully, it will change.
