As "Old Washington" plush as a night club can get and rife with snobby, "club" attitude -- beginning at the door. So, if you don't walk the walk (and that means looking suitably chic), you may not get in. You may have a problem just finding the door (at the corner of 18th and Connecticut), if you're looking for a noticeable exterior sign. (There isn't one.) Inside, besides the tinkle of chandeliers, you'll hear expertly blended, DJ-spun house and hip hop on the second floor and deck. Weekends, live jazz emanates from the cool third-floor lounge.
